Meet Our Summer 2025 Intern Power Duo: Ericka & Reagan
This summer, we welcomed two incredible young minds to the Estipona Group team — Ericka Estacio (Copywriting Intern) and Reagan Hilton (Creative Content Intern). They bring fresh energy, unique talents and a whole lot of creativity to our work. Whether they’re crafting captivating copy or curating clever content, these two are already making their mark. Let’s get to know them a little better, shall we?

Who are you? Tell us about yourself!
Ericka
I am 22 years old, and I am currently a senior at the University of Nevada, Reno, majoring in English and minoring in Film and Media Studies. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in writing and storytelling. I’ve pursued writing in all aspects of my life, including my academics, professional experience, and even as a hobby.
I have a background in journalism and have contributed to campus and local news sources, including Insight Magazine, Vibrant Voices and Sierra Nevada Ally. In my free time, I love to read books. I love to read literary fiction, classics, and sometimes fantasy. I also love to write for fun, including poetry, short stories, and longer pieces.
Reagan
I am 20 years old and next semester, I’ll be graduating from Truckee Meadows Community College’s design program! I first fell in love with design when I installed a sketchy version of Photoshop on my parents’ computer to create outfits for my video game avatars. I — like most people my age at the time — desperately wanted to be a YouTuber, so I learned editing and thumbnail design at a pretty young age.
I started going to school for design after my first internship, which was a social media role at a children’s virtual reality startup. I also have a background working with TEDxReno, as well as volunteering with all sorts of local events.
Why EG? What are you most excited about?
Ericka
I chose EG for the company values, the amazing people, and the dedication to its clients, vendors, and employees. Beyond advertising, I think EG has a great impact on the Reno community, and I wanted to be a part of that.
There’s never a dull moment here — I’m constantly learning and contributing to something meaningful and important. I’m especially excited to see my creations come to life and have an impact on the target audience. I’ve met so many great and hard-working creatives, from co-workers to clients, and seeing projects go from ideation to execution motivates me to do the same.
Reagan
Estipona Group just works. There is no nepotism, no hierarchy — just a group of people working their asses off every day. That dynamic, always-striving-to-be-better energy is VERY contagious, and I feel lucky to learn from what I believe to be the best of the best in the industry.
I’m excited to expand my experience beyond social media and dive deeper into the design world, which is my true passion. Applying my skills, learning from my peers, and seeing my design work actually printed or displayed in public spaces is something I can’t wait for — there’s nothing like physically seeing your ideas out in the world.
Goals? Ambitions?
Ericka
My short-term goal is, of course, to finish my studies and really hone in on my craft as a writer. Connecting with people in the industry is also important to me, especially connecting with my coworkers and learning from them.
My long-term goal is to make my writing skills useful to society and our community. It’s important to me that my work has a bigger purpose and makes an impact. My most ambitious goal is to become a published author with a literary magazine called The New Yorker and a book published by one of the five biggest publishing companies.
Reagan
A short-term goal for me at Estipona Group is to absorb as much information as possible, like an intern sponge.
A long-term goal for me is to work at a local agency, and if I’m brave enough, perhaps start an agency of my own. I love the Reno community and wouldn’t trade it for anything, so my work would be hyper-local, while also modernizing and making my surroundings more charming.
Any current obsessions? (Random rabbit holes welcome).
Ericka
I’m a huge nerd for movies and books. I have a special interest in comedy writing. I love watching stand-up comedy, going to improv shows, and watching movies. Sometimes I’ll write scripts for fun. I also enjoy doing crafts and DIYing anything and everything.
Reagan
I love collecting physical media, like CDs, vinyl records, books, and Blu-Ray DVDs. I get most of these items at the thrift store, my favorite being St. Vincent’s on 4th Street. I go 2–3 times a week, and embarrassingly, all of the employees know my name. Thrifting has been my gateway to all different types of hobbies, including fashion and tech (I have a fully thrifted stereo setup that I use daily, and a really cool collection of synthesizers, including my Casio SK1).
What gets your brain buzzing with ideas?
Ericka
I draw inspiration from my favorite authors and my coworkers. I love seeing writing styles that are very different from mine and using them as inspiration to become a more versatile writer. I also love leaning into creative outlets like poetry, short stories, and reading pieces that might be a little different from my usual writing style.
Reagan
Not to sound like a broken record (which thrift stores have a lot of those, too!), but thrift has been a great source of inspiration for me. I have a big folder on my phone with pictures of random book covers, records, decorative plates, vintage packaging — you name it. To me, almost everything in design has already been done, and it’s up to me to help recycle and refresh so it’s not forgotten. The thrift occasionally also blesses me with old local magazines, which give me great Nevada-related ad inspiration.
Favorite copy you’ve seen on an ad/tv/movie?
Ericka
I love the Michael Cera, Cerave Super Bowl Ad because it doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s so clever and hilarious while giving the brand visibility, especially to the younger audience.
Reagan
I’m a big type nerd, and Futura is my favorite font of all time. Wes Anderson loves it too, and in the movie The Royal Tenenbaums, the typeface actually has more screen time than any of the lead ensemble cast.
