STI testing, avoiding foreclosure, child’s first cavity, bursitis — if you were to dig into Camie Yokote’s online search history, you might get the wrong impression. It does not, in fact, reflect diverse (and let’s admit it, odd) personal interests, but rather a commitment to understanding her clients. One that puts her at risk of forever skewing her online algorithms toward the weird.
As a social media specialist at Estipona Group, Camie is constantly researching new trends and topics to keep up with the ever-evolving social landscape. While some may cringe at the thought of hours upon hours of research, Camie loves learning new things, gaining a deeper understanding of her clients’ businesses and figuring out how to leverage social media to help them reach their goals. As an added bonus, no one can pull out more random and fascinating facts at a dinner party.
With a dual degree in marketing and finance (focused in economics) and a minor in journalism (focused in strategic communications), Camie brings a unique perspective to marketing communications. She can analyze, predict and execute new research-based social strategies with an eye for addressing individual client needs and goals.
Her drive to help clients succeed is matched by her desire to make the world better. Through her early work at the Gattuso Coalition; Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern Nevada; and the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, she was able to focus her talents and efforts on improving her adopted Northern Nevada community.
Camie spends work days scrolling the never-ending depths of the internet…and her free time scrolling the never-ending depths of the internet. JK, not really, but pretty much. She is also a big fan of reading thrillers and mysteries and bingeing the newest reality show — for, you know, balance.
Born in Maui, Hawai’i, Camie not only knows how to buckle down to get shit done, but also when to sit back and relax. After pandemicing in her native Wailuku, she has returned to the Biggest Little City to join the majority of her teammates. Although, let’s face it, there are times she wishes she was back on the beach getting her tan on.
