Here are some tips about creating an e-newsletter that will engage and generate results. Especially when using doll parts, some assembly may be required. If this makes no sense, please keep reading.

We once sent an email newsletter featuring a story about how to make DIY home décor using dismembered dolls. And that email newsletter earned us a new client.

True story.

So let’s get to the burning question first: How exactly does one make DIY home décor from dismembered dolls?

You’ve heard the questions and conspiracy theories, but we’ve done the research, and guess what? Facebook really is listening. So are your other devices. Here’s how that affects advertising, why you should care — and how to lock your devices down. Short of moving all conversations to a cone of silence, that is.

In a recent Estipona team meeting, our VP of Creative, Paige Galeoto, was sharing a seemingly inconsequential tidbit about her life: Namely, the fact that she had recently purchased recyclable produce bags for her trips to Raley’s.

Dear Northern Nevada: It’s Time to Claim Our Capital ‘N’

Herein, our VP of Strategy asserts that the decision about capitalizing the “N” in “Northern” should not, in fact, be made on a case-by-case basis:
“Northern Nevada” should once and for all have two capital "N"s. Disagree? Fight her.

For my entire career, I’ve been a writer. And as such, when writing on their behalf, I’ve asked the same question of practically every client and employer:

“So, do we capitalize the ‘N’ in ‘Northern' when it appears before 'Nevada?'”

Perhaps never before has a gym membership been so valuable.

Estipona Group may just have a 15-year-employee in Paige Galeoto because she belonged to 24-Hour Fitness —the same gym also attended by one of our former partners, which is when our seek-and-acquire mission went into full swing.

Hear the whole stalking story in this episode of EG Rewind. Also learn about Paige's favorite campaigns, what she really thinks of Edward and his “good gut” and how she initially pictured her future career in advertising (power suits with shoulder pads may have been involved).

Remember that time we put former Reno Phil conductor Barry Jekowsky in a white disco suit à la John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever?

Francine Burge does.

In this episode of EG Rewind, we talk with one of our longtime friends and clients, Francine, who helped us convince Barry to model Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Devo and John Travolta in an award-winning campaign.

Find out how Francine and Estipona Group embarked on guerilla campaigns pre-social media, and hear her best advice for anyone invited to a 1.5-hour brainstorm with Edward.
